Are the number 1 and his next in command in the Lashkar-e-Tayiba at war with each other. The appointment of Abdul Rehman Makki as the chief of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and the Jamaat-ud-Dawa has not gone down too well with Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the plotter-in-chief of the Mumbai 26/11 attack.
Investigations are on to find out if the terrorist slain on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir is the nephew of the dreaded Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. Earlier on Thursday, security forces gunned down Abu Musaib, a Lashkar-e-Tayiba militant in an encounter that broke out in the Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sources say that the information they have on Musain suggests that he may be Lakhvi’s nephew. Sources add that Musaib is Lakhvi’s brother’s son. We are, however, verifying this information further, the officer also informed.
The Shawai Nala camp of the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba has been home to several high ranking terrorists. Based in Muzzafarabad, Pakistan, this camp is one of the top most training camps of the Lashkar which has produced the likes of David Headley, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Abu Jundal among others.
The camp at Shawai Nala is today run exclusively to train militants who are sent to carry out attacks in Kashmir. The name Shawai Nala which has come up yet again during the interrogation of Mohammad Naved, the accused in the Udhampur attack.
As India and Pakistan get ready to talk, the latter has been told in clear terms that there shall be no further violations along the Line of Control. India has informed Pakistan that any attempt at violations along the LoC or infiltration bids would not be tolerated and the talks could be called off.
At the moment the talks between the two National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan are on track. Indian officials tell OneIndia that the engagement process is preferred and Pakistan needs to understand this. It should not do anything to jeopardize the talks, the official also says.
India has decided to give Pakistan a Dawood Ibrahim related dossier to Pakistan with the hope that there would be some action. This is the third dossier in almost as many years that India has shared with Pakistan.
However, this dossier is a more specific one and the previous dossiers that had been given to Pakistan has the name of Dawood along with several others such as Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Hafiz Saeed among others. It pays to be Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. For the world he is a dreaded terrorist who masterminded and guided the horrific 26/11 attack that killed over 160 persons, but in Pakistan he is a VIP with benefits.
A fortress of security personnel around his mansion in Lahore, ISI and army officials at his beck and call are some of the few benefits that Lakhvi enjoys today.
At this moment Lakhvi is at his bungalow surrounded by security guards living in comfort the bill which the government of Pakistan pays.
here is trouble brewing big time in Pakistan. In the days to come one can expect a stand off between the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the military over the issue of Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.

The Intelligence Bureau has issued an alert stating that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba is planning to launch a major 26/11 type attack in India. The IB alert says that the group may target Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Lashkar has been readying for a major offensive for quite some time now.
However the decision to carry out the attack could be released to the Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi issue, Intelligence Bureau officials tell OneIndia. Read more
