New Delhi, July 16: The security forces gunned down two terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in an encounter at the Danmar area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. During the encounter two personnel of the CRPF sustained injuries and they have been shifted to hospital.
A joint team of the Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF joined a cordon and search operation in the Alameda Colony of Danmar following a tip off. The area was then cordoned off by security forces.
New Delhi, Apr 10: The chief of the Al-Qaeda affiliated terror outfit Ansar Gazwat ul Hind were among the 7 terrorists killed in two separate encounters in Kashmir on Friday.
Five terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter at a Mosque in Shopian, the police said. The AGH chief Imtiyaz Shah was killed in another encounter along with another terrorist in an orchard in Tral.

Based on specific intelligence inputs regarding presence of armed insurgents, two columns were launched by the Assam Rifles in general area Khonsa (approximately 50 Km East of Tinsukia), Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh.
Srinagar, Nov 30:There have been six encounters in nine days in Jammu and Kashmir and 28 terrorists were killed during this period. The month of November was a largely successful one for the security forces.
Security forces have killed an average 17 terrorists every month in the Valley. The record number of killings in 2017 has surpassed the earlier records of 2008 and 2010 when there was unrest in the Valley.
