Everyone named in the Panama Papers case will be investigated, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has been given 7 days to resign.The Supreme Court Bar Association and the Lahore High Court Bar Association have threatened to launch a countrywide movement if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif doesn’t resign in seven days. In a joint declaration issued by the two bar associations, they said that following the Supreme Court’s order on the Panama Papers case, the Prime Minister should no longer hold the position and resign within seven days, The Dawn reported.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered the formation of a joint investigation team to probe prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in connection with the Panama papers case. A five-judge bench comprising Justices Asif Saeed Khosa, Gulzar Ahmed, Ejaz Afzal Khan, Azmat Saeed and Ijazul Ahsan delivered a 3-2 split verdict in the matter.
