Kerala woman killed in Israel rocket attack was speaking to husband at time of incident

New Delhi, May 12: A woman from Kerala was killed in a rocket attack in the Israeli city of Ashkelon. She was working as a caregiver. 

Soumya 31 was a native of Kanjikuzhy panchayat in Kerala’s Idukki district. The incident happened when she was talking to her husband over phone. As she was talking, she was heard screaming. There was a loud noise and the call got disconnected, her family members said.

Will not let the culprits get away, India tells Israel after blast outside embassy

New Delhi, Jan 30: India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Israel NSA, Meir Ben-Shabbat and a discussion on the security situation in the aftermath of the blast outside the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi. 

Following the discussion, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu expressed full confidence that the Indian authorities would investigate the incident. India has assured Israel that it would take all steps to protect the embassy and its diplomats. India also said that it would track down the perpetrators.

ISIS spooks women more than men says study

Researchers from Bar Ilan University in Israel studied about 1,007 Israeli adults and found that being female, having a lower socio-economic status, along with elevated levels of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms were related to ISIS anxiety.

This shocking claim was made by Ronen Bergman, senior political and military analyst for Israel’s largest-circulation daily newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth.

The claim comes just a few days after the US Intelligence made public a file that pointed towards Russia’s meddling during the US elections which went on to help Trump win over Hillary Clinton. Trump however dismissed the report as phony talk.

Al-Qaeda fights for relevance in India

  The al-Qaeda in the sub continent which announced its formation last year will attempt to make a fresh start in India. Since its launch last October, the AQIS has not managed to sway the youth especially in India and to this extent the Indian Intelligence and Security agencies can claim a major victory. 

However after the success the al-Qaeda had in Yemen and also the Charlie Hebdo attack, they would try and push for a similar agenda in India. The Intelligence Bureau has issued a general alert stating that Israeli nationals in India could be targeted by members of the al-Qaeda or their sympathizers.
