Farmer unions want new members on SC appointed panel

New Delhi, Jan 17: A farmer union requested the Supreme Court on Saturday to remove the remaining three members of the committee it had set up to resolve the impasse over the three contentious farm laws, and select people who can do the job “on the basis of mutual harmony”.

Sorry to say, Centre has not been able to solve the problem: SC on farmer protests

New Delhi, Jan 11: The Supreme Court has asked if the farm laws be put on hold for sometime. We do not know what negotiations are on between the farmer unions and Centre, a Bench headed by Chief Justice of India, S A Bobde said.

The SC hearing a challenge to the farm laws made by the Centre. The court also remarked that it is very disappointed with the way the entire process is going.
