Tahir Hussain charged under anti-terror law for murder of IB staffer,former Cong councillor booked

New Delhi, Apr 23: Suspended Aam Aadmi Party councillor, Tahir Hussain has been booked under the anti-terror law in connection with the murder of Intelligence Bureau staffer, Ankit Sharma. He has been charged under the stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

It may be recalled that he was arrested in connection with the murder of Sharma last month. The police has accused Hussain of rioting, murder and arson during the deadly riots that broke out in Northeast Delhi in February.

Anti terror law to NIA Bill: Modi 2.0 set to wage war against terror

New Delhi, July 24: The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill. The bill was introduced in the lower house by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The bill would give India’s internal security mechanism a major boost in the fight against terror. The amendment bill would give special procedures to deal with terror groups, their activities and also individuals.

Yasin Malik led JKLF banned under anti terror law

New Delhi, Mar 22: The Union Government has banned the Yasin Malik Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. The outfit led by the Kashmir separatist was banned under the provisions of the anti terror law.

The outfit has been banned for alleged promotion of secessionist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, they said.
