NIA raids in Tamil Nadu: How radicals from this state have kept the agency busy


New Delhi, Jun 09: The National Investigation Agency carried out raids in eight locations in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry as part of the probe into propaganda and fund raising for the Islamic State (ISIS).

Raids were carried out at the residences of five persons at Chennai, Karaikal and Mayiladuthurai.

The NIA has been busy in Tamil Nadu off late with the number of cases relating to terror and funding going up. In the state, the NIA has under its radar and organisation called the Manitha Neethi Pasarai.
