SC tells Karnataka to release 2,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to TN from Oct 7 to18

supremeNew Delhi, Oct 4: The Supreme Court today directed Karnataka to release 2,000 cusecs of Cauvery water daily to Tamil Nadu from October 7 to 18th.

The directive was issued after the Supreme Court had granted Karnataka one hours time to decide on how much water it could release between October 7 to 18. Further the Supreme Court constituted the supervisory panel and directed it to visit the Cauvery basin.
