Uri attack: NIA sends Letter Rogatory to Pakistan

uriattack1The National Investigation Agency has sent a Letter Rogatory (LR) to Pakistan, seeking its response on seizures made following the Uri attack. On September 18 2016, terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba had attacked an Army camp and killed 19 soldiers. The NIA which has made little progress in the case has sent a formal request to Pakistan to cooperate with the probe.

Another 26/11, India won’t show any restraint against Pak: Report

For General Raheel Sharif, the grudge against India is personal

Susan Rice calls Doval, assures support in war against terror

During the conversation, Susan Rice assured that efforts would be made to bring to justice terrorists and their perpetrators across the world.
The conversation between the two NSAs comes in the midst of India going all out to isolate Pakistan. India is reviewing the Indus Water Treaty and the Most Favoured Nation Status it had granted to Pakistan.

Uri attack: Foreign secretary slaps Pak with proof

jaishankarNew Delhi, Sept 26: India’s Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar today presented proof of Pakistan’s role in the Uri attacks. The proof was presented to the Pakistan High Commisioner in India, Abdul Basit. The foreign secretary told Basit that continued cross border terrorism and attacks from Pakistan is unacceptable.
Jaishankar informed Basit that the ongoing investigation into the Uri attacks had revealed that the two guides who helped the terrorists had been apprehended by the local villagers. The guides have been identified as Faizal Hussain (20) and Yasin Khurshid (19), both residents of Muzzafarabad.
