New Delhi, Aug 31: New security measures are in place at Jammu and Kashmir, in the wake of several intelligence reports suggesting that terrorists could carry out a major strike.
New bunkers have been constructed in a bid to deal with the law and order problem as well as terror threats. There is a spool of concertina wire that have been placed around the bunkers that are made of sandbags.
New Delhi, Aug 24: The presence of Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorists in Coimbatore led to the declaring of a high alert in Tamil Nadu.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) said that at least 6 operatives of the outfit had entered Tamil Nadu and then taken shelter in Coimbatore. An IB source informed OneIndia that the alert was sounded after the intelligence was found to be Grade A and actionable.
New Delhi, Apr 27: The terror threat to several places in South India has turned out to be a hoax. The caller who warned about the attack, Sundara Murthy a retired army personnel was arrested and questioned. Following the questioning it was learnt that he had made a hoax call.
The radar is on the Amarnath Yatra, which is scheduled to commence on June 28. The security mechanism has declared a high state of alert as there are several reports from the Intelligence Bureau suggesting that the terrorists may try and launch a desperate strike again.
The Amarnath Yatra which began amidst tight security has witnessed a dip in the numbers owing to the unrest in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. There has been a 10 per cent drop in the number of pilgrims when compared to last year. Last year too had witnessed a low number of pilgrims. In fact it was one of the lowest number standing at 2.2 lakh. This year around the number has dipped by 8 per cent.

According to a press release issued by the Art of Living, three threat letters were received threatening Shri Shri Ravishankar with dire consequences.
A call threatening to blow up the Indian Institute of Management premises at Bangalore has created a furore at the campus. The call made to the reception threatens to blow up the premises between 1.30 PM and 2 PM today.
Following this the police were informed who rushed to the spot and evacuated all the people out of the building. The bomb and dog squad have been pressed into service and a thorough search of the premises is being conducted.
The management however suspects that it could be a prank, but decided not to take any chances and informed the police.
