Ansar-al-Islam case: NIA charges two for attempting terror strikes in Bengaluru

NIA-33New Delhi, Jan 25: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in connection with the Ansar-al-Islam case.

It may be recalled that two suspected Bangladeshi nationals had been detained by the Border Security Force as they were unable to produce valid documents. The police then registered the case before handing it over to the NIA.

sea-attackNew Delhi, Sep 16: A week after the Navy warned that the Jaish-e-Mohammad was planning a sea borne attack, the Intelligence Bureau has now warned that the terror group would look to strike at crowded places during the festival season.

The warning states that the JeM would try and target railway stations in various cities in the country. The alert was issued following a letter that was received by the Rohtak Station Superintendent.

35 Army personnel martyred in 9 terror strikes since 2016

Madhya Pradesh: Low on terror strikes, high on anti-national activities

terrorist1Bengaluru, Nov 22: If one were to notice, Madhya Pradesh has not witnessed a major terrorist attack in recent times. While this is something to cheer about, there is another side to the story.
There have been several cases relating to terror activities which would include jail breaks, setting up of modules among others. Statistics show that there have been a large number of anti-national acts reported from this state. In 2014 there were 25 such acts and in the 2015 the number was at 15.

IED as booby traps will be witnessed in more terror strikes: IB report

New Delhi, Mar 1: In the past one year there have been 268 incidents of blasts being carried with Improvised Explosive Devices. The number of lives lost in IED blasts was 117.
An intelligence bureau report states that the use of IEDs will increase across the world and India too as it remains a cheap option for terrorists with which they can cause maximum impact.
