On Wednesday in a shocking incident, Justice P Vishwanath Shetty, the Lokayukta of Karnataka was stabbed in his office which is located a little over 100 meters from the Vidhan Soudha in Bengaluru.
The motive behind the stabbing of Lokayukta of Karnataka Justice P Vishwanath Shetty has been ascertained following initial investigations by the police.
Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, Karnataka Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty was stabbed in his office today. The incident occurred when Justice Shetty had called in a person for questioning in connection with a case. He has been admitted to hospital, but is out of danger, Home Minister of Karnataka, Ramalinga Reddy said.

Justice Shetty was stabbed by a person called Tejraj Sharma, a resident of Tumkur near Bangalore on Wednesday.
The Lokayukta of Karnataka, P Vishwanath Shetty was stabbed at his office in Bengaluru. He has been admitted at the Mallya hospital. He is however out of danger said Karnataka Home Minister, Ramalinga Reddy.
It was a complete security lapse at the office of the Lokayukta in Bengaluru where Justice P Vishwanath Shetty was stabbed. Despite the presence of a metal detector at the entrance, the accused managed to beat security and enter the Lokayukta’s office situated at the MS Building in Bengaluru with a dagger.
