New Delhi, Oct 14: A Delhi court has taken cognisance of the two chargesheets filed in separate FIRs against former AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain and others in connection with the riots at northeast Delhi.
Purushottam Pathak, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate said that there was sufficient material on record to take cognisance of the offences for rioting, unlawful assembly, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and common intention under the various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
New Delhi, Aug 22: While summoning former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and nine others in connection with the murder of Intelligence Bureau staffer, Ankit Sharma, a Delhi court observed that prima facie Hussain had provoked and instigated people to promote enmity between Hindus and Muslims.
The court said that he had instigated the people by claiming that the Hindus had killed a number of Muslims and they should not let them go scot free, the court also observed while issuing the summons.
New Delhi, June 20: The Delhi Police has filed two more chargesheets against former AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain in connection with the northeast Delhi riots. The two chargesheets were filed in connection with two separate incidents of violence.
The first related to arson and rioting at a parking lot in Chand Bagh, while the second related to arson and robbery at godown in Karawal Nagar. Along with his Hussain, his brother, Shah Alam and 10 others have been charged.
New Delhi, June 04: Suspended AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain instigated the mob into killing IB staffer, Ankit Sharma as he was trying to pacify the mobs of both sides, the chargesheet filed in connection with the northeast Delhi riots has revealed. It may be recalled that during the riots, Sharma had gone missing on February 25. His body was recovered from a drain in the Chand Bagh the next day.

Sources in the Delhi Police tell OneIndia that the killers had sought to isolate him and then kill him. It was a clear attempt to send out a message to the establishment the source also said. The police is also questioning, suspended Aam Admi Party councillor Tahir Hussain in this regard.
