New Delhi, Feb 23: A Special NIA court today framed charges against Kashmiri separatist, Asiya Andrabi for waging war against India, sedition and conspiracy to commit terror acts in the country.
In December, the court had ordered framing of charges against Andrabi and her two associates. The case relates to allegedly waging war against the country with support from Pakistan, including terror entities there.
New Delhi, Jan 30: A former member of the Students Islamic Movement of India against whom a Look out Circular had been issued has been arrested, while trying to leave the country.
A day after the police spoke about a ‘red bag plan’ to ensure the escape of Gurmeet Ram Rahim, a look out circular has been issued against Honeypreet Singh, the adopted daughter of the baba. In addition to this the police have also booked her for sedition and accused her of instigating the violence at Panchkula.
There is a lot of confusion that surrounds the Rs 10 coin. Shopkeepers have been blatantly rejecting Rs 10 coins stating that they are fake or are on the verge of being banned by the Government of India. Let us make this amply clear to the reader: ” If your Rs 10 coin is rejected by the shopkeeper or anyone else, you have the legal right to file a criminal case against that person.” In fact you can file a case under sedition.
Looks like we have played into the hands of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Pakistan which has always tried to stoke an anti India sentiment in Kashmir. The recent sedition charges that were filed and the suspension of 68 Kashmiri students for cheering the Pakistan cricket team has the given Hafiz Saeed enough fodder to stoke an emotion.
Saeed the mastermind of the 26/11 attack tweets, “We would like to offer scholarships for these expelled students wherever in the world they want to study. Pakistani nation is proud of them. Indian mindset against Kashmiris is exposed yet again by this sad incident, while immense love for Pakistan by Kashmiris is very clear too. It is a significant development. Many in the Intelligence Bureau working in Kashmir would call the act by the police as a major blunder. We have just played into the hands of these terrorists in Pakistan, is what an officer says. There are better ways of handling the situation especially when there is a major attempt being made to instil a pro India sentiment among the people of Kashmir, the officer also pointed out.
