New Delhi, Nov 14: The Supreme Court has closed the contempt case against Rahul Gandhi in which he attributed his remark, Chowkidar Chor Hai to the Rafale judgment of the Supreme Court.
The court said that Rahul Gandhi needs to be more careful in future for attributing to the court his remarks. While closing the contempt case against Rahul Gandhi, the SC said that he should be more careful in future. He uttered the words, Chowkidar Chor Hai, without even reading the Rafale judgment of the Supreme Court dated December 2018.
New Delhi, Nov 13: The Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on a contempt petition filed against Rahul Gandhi on Thursday.
The criminal contempt was a petition filed by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi. The top court rejected the plea of Gandhi to close the criminal contempt petition filed by Lekhi.

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 05: Congress president, Rahul Gandhi’s assets have gone up by Rs 4.85 crore, his affidavit filed suggests. While filing his nomination from Wayanad in Kerala, he has declared assets to the tune of Rs 14.85 crore.
In his 2014 affidavit, Rahul Gandhi had declared income to the tune of Rs 10 crore. He said that his movable assets are worth Rs 5,80,58,799 while his immovable assets amount to Rs 7,93,03,977. The income declared for the year 2017-18 is Rs 1,11,85,570.
