New Delhi, Dec 14: The Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla has forwarded a complaint by BJP MP, Pragya Thakur against Rahul Gandhi to the privileges committee of the Lower House. Rahul Gandhi had tweeted, ” terrorist Pragya calls Godse a patriot.”
The tweet came in the aftermath of Pragya’s reported reference to Nathuram Godse, which had created an uproar in the House.
New Delhi, Nov 14: The Supreme Court has closed the contempt case against Rahul Gandhi in which he attributed his remark, Chowkidar Chor Hai to the Rafale judgment of the Supreme Court.
The court said that Rahul Gandhi needs to be more careful in future for attributing to the court his remarks. While closing the contempt case against Rahul Gandhi, the SC said that he should be more careful in future. He uttered the words, Chowkidar Chor Hai, without even reading the Rafale judgment of the Supreme Court dated December 2018.
New Delhi, Nov 11: The Supreme Court pronounce an important order this week with regard to the Rahul Gandhi contempt case. While Rahul Gandhi tendered an unconditional apology, it is entirely up to the Supreme Court to accept it or not.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had reserved the verdict on the criminal contempt plea filed against Gandhi by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi.
New Delhi, Aug 28:Getting into damage control mode, Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi said that Pakistan is squarely to blame for the violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
“There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world… Let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India’s internal issue & there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it,” Gandhi said on Twitter.
