Islamabad, Apr 23: Pakistan on Monday took exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks about India’s nuclear capability, terming them “highly unfortunate” and said such nuclear brinksmanship should be discouraged.
New Delhi, Apr 09: The interrogation of Nisar Ahmed Tantray, a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist deported from the UAE suggests that the Lethpora CRPF camp attack case and the Pulwama strike are inter-linked. In the early part of April, Tantray a top JeM terrorist wanted in the Lethpora case was deported from the UAE to India. Post the attack in 2017, he had fled India for the UAE.
Srinagar, Apr 01: He tried to replicate a Pulwama like attack, but developed cold feet, the Jammu and Kashmir police said. The statement comes in the wake of the police arresting Owais Amin, a Hizbul Mujahideen operative who hit a bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel on the J&K highway last week.
Amin a resident of Shopian confessed he was a suicide bomber, but added that the mechanism was not fool-proof and the second blast could not be triggered.
Srinagar, Apr 01: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoys moving to and from the Kashmir Valley, will now be accompanied by a Superintendent of Police rank police officer.
The order was issued by the paramilitary force in view of enhancing security in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF jawans were martyred. Further the order said that a single motorcade will not have more than 40 vehicles at any given point of time.
Srinagar, Mar 25: India would seek the help of the United States after it was found that virtual SIMs were used in the Pulwama attack.
Piecing together probe from the site of the terror strike, searches carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir police and central security agencies at an encounter site in Tral as well as other locations, it was found that the bomber, Adil Dar, was in constant touch with the JeM across the border, they said.
New Delhi, Mar 17: If Pakistan was sincere in tackling terror, then it should at least hand over to India Dawood Ibrahim, Sayeed Salahudin and other terrorists who are Indian citizens and residing in that country, government sources have said.
They said Pakistan has failed to take any credible action against Jaish-e-Mohammed and other terror groups even after the dastardly Pulwama attack.
New Delhi, Mar 15: In the evidence provided to Pakistan on the Pulwama attack, India has cited a mobile number that was used to claim responsibility for the attack.
India has prepared a detailed dossier laden with evidence to show that it was the Pakistan sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammad which carried out the attack. Moments after the Pulwama attack, the JeM claimed responsibility for the same through a WhatsApp number 7006250771.
New Delhi, Mar 14: India has said that the Pulwama attack was planned by Jaish-e-Mohammad chief, Maulana Masood Azhar and his brother Rauf Asghar.
Jaipur, Mar 14: A 36 year old man accused of spying for Pakistan has been held by the Rajasthan police.
The man has been identified as Nawab Khan a resident of Gaanga village. The was arrested from Jaisalmer under the provisions of the Official Secrets Act.
New Delhi, Mar 13: The Pulwama attack was hatched by the Jaish-e-Mohammad chief, Masood Azhar and his younger brother Abdul Rauf Asghar to avenge the killing of their kin in the Kashmir Valley.
The evidence that India has gathered in connection with the attack suggests that the the duo hatched the plot in the aftermath of the killing of Talha Rasheed, Azhar. nephew. He was gunned down by the security forces at Pulwama on November 6 2017. Usman Haider, another son of Azhar’s elder brother was killed in an encounter at Tral in October 2018.
