New Delhi, Jan 11: After he was granted bail by a court of the National Investigation Agency in a terror funding case, PDP youth wing leader, Waheed-ur-Rehman Para was detained again for questioning in a separate terror related case.
He was detained by the counter Intelligence wing of the Jammu and Kashmir police. While the exact details of the case is not known, a source tells OneIndia that the FIR is an open one. Several of the PDP chief’s (Mehbooba Mufti) relatives have been questioned in the case already. The case was filed after Para was arrested by the NIA, the source also said.
New Delhi, Dec 29: Jailed PDP leader, Waheed Ur Rehman Para, who won the District Development Council (DDC) polls from Pulwama is alleged to have paid the Hizbul Mujahideen to get the outfit’s support ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Para was arrested ahead of the DDC polls in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the probe relating to suspended DySP Davinder Singh’s links to the Hizbul Mujahideen.
The dossier on Mehbooba Mufti states that she is a hot-headed scheming person. On Omar Abdullah, the dossier says that he has been planning activities against the Union of India under the guise of politics. With this being the situation, the release of Omar and Mehbooba could be fatal.
Bengaluru: Daddy’s Girl and Kota Rani are some of the words that have been used in the dossier prepared on Mehbooba Mufti, against whom the Public Safety Act has been slapped. However, a very telling remark in the dossier states that the green colour of the PDP’s flag reflects its radical origin.
The Public Safety Act was slapped on both Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah last week, in a bid to maintain peace in the Valley. It may be recalled that MyNation had reported last week that both the leaders were reaching out to the separatists in a bid to disturb peace in the Valley.
Srinagar, Sep 11: The government will go ahead with the urban body and panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir despite both the major players- PDP and NC deciding to stay away over the issue of Article 35-A.
The BJP has pulled out of the coalition with the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir. There is plenty of course correction involved and the BJP would be hoping to fix it. While on one hand the law and order situation would need to be brought under control, on the other the BJP would also have in mind its core vote bank in the state which had backed it to the hilt in the previous elections.
A PDP leader was shot dead after terrorists shot at him at Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. President of the Pulwama unit of the PDP, the leader Abdul Gani Dar was shot at by Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists at the Pinglan area in South Kashmir.
In a bid to iron out their differences, leaders of the BJP and PDP met in Jammu to find a way out to save the government in Jammu and Kashmir. Ties have soured between the PDP and BJP which runs a rare coalition government in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Srinagar, Sept 9: There is trouble within the PDP today and several leaders have expressed displeasure over how the entire Kashmir issue has been handled.
The statements by senior PDP leader, Muzzafar Hussain Baig clearly show that a section of the party is unhappy with Mehbooba Mufti. Baig, a Lok Sabha MP from Baramulla said that the BJP-PDP coalition has failed to deliver.
Regarding chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti he says that she does not have experience in governance and she is trying to get used to the process.
Jammu and Kashmir, Mar 25: Even as PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti gets set to take over as the first woman chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, she has a directive to all those who will be part of the ministry. Mehbooba who will meet with the Governor of the state and stake a claim to form the government had made it clear that there would be regular assessments of the performances by all the ministery.
