Terror attack in Delhi foiled: Two terrorists arrested

The police said that they have arrested two terrorists from the Sarai Kale Khan area. We received information about these two terrorists and on the basis of the same, a trap was laid, DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav said. 

The trap was laid near the Millennium Park, Sarai Kale Khan on Monday night.

Jharkhand elections: Marginal increase in number of candidates with criminal background

voting111New Delhi, Dec 16: Out of 1,216 candidates analysed in 2019, 335 (28%) candidates have declared criminal cases against themselves. Out of 1136 candidates analysed during Jharkhand Assembly elections in 2014, 330(29%) candidates had declared criminal cases against themselves says a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms.

Candidates with Serious Criminal Cases: 222 (18%) candidates have declared serious criminal cases including cases related to rape, murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, crimes against women etc.

Mallya offers to pay Rs 4,000 crore by Septemeber 2016

Vijay Mallya--621x414New Delhi, Mar 30: Former chairman of the UB group Vijay Mallya today offered to pay Rs 4,000 crore to the banks which have moved the Supreme Court to recover their dues.
Mallya made the offer to pay the Rs 4,000 crore via video conferencing.
Mallya’s advocate making the submissions before the Bench today said that his client would oay Rs 4,000 crore by September 2016.

ISIS note threatens to kill Maharashtra ATS official

ISIS-flag-afp-640x480Pune, Jan 13: The Maharashtra ATS is probing a letter threatening to kill a police officer. The letter states that it was written by members of the ISIS.
In the letter, it is stated that Bhanupratap Bharge, an officer with the ATS, Pune wing would be killed along with his family members.
The letter was sent to the commissioner of police, Mumbai in which the message threatening to eradicate the officer has been made.
