China wants to keep Finger 4 of Pangong Tso out of bounds: India rejects claim

New Delhi, Oct 30: China during the negotiations with India has made certain unacceptable demands with regard to de-escalation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

China suggested it would patrol till Finger 5 of Pangong Tso, whole India would patrol till Finger 3. This arrangement is unacceptable to India because Finger 4 will become part of occupied Aksai Chin.

Chinese soldier apprehended by Indian Army at Demchok area in Ladakh

New Delhi, Oct 19: A soldier of the Chinese Army has been captured near the Demchok area of Ladakh this morning.

He is currently in the custody of the Indian Army. The agencies are probing a possible espionage angle. Sources tell OneIndia that he is currently being questioned.

China yet to indicate plan on withdrawing from Pangong Tso, Depsang areas

New Delhi, Oct 01: With China not indicating its plan to withdraw from the contentious Pangong Tso and Depsang areas, there was no breaking through during the meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC).

Sources, however described to OneIndia that the talks were useful. Both sides also agreed to hold the 7th round of military commander level talks. This would help in working towards early disengagement of troops along of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Indian shot dead in Kansas, shooter yelled ‘get out of my country’

kuchiAn Indian was shot dead in Kansas, United States after being mistaken for an Arab. Another Indian was also injured in the shootout. The shooter had yelled, “Get out of my country,” the Kansas Star reported.
The deceased has been identified as Srinivas Kuchibhotla while the injured as Alok Madasani. Both worked as aviation system engineers at Garmin International. Madasani has now been discharged from the hospital.
