As President Xi’s efforts in Nepal flop, China to continue covert ops in Himalayan nation

New Delhi, Jan 02: The efforts by China to broker peace in Nepal have failed, but President Xi Jinping continues with covert ops to ensure that normalcy in the political circles in Kathmandu returns.

The Chinese team led by Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guo Yezhou was not able to pacify the warring factions. However China has now sent a team of three comprising -Zekun Lai, Dongme Huang and Yonglin Zhong to Nepal to pacify the warring factions.

Accept mistake that’s the only way: Prachanda faction to Oli

New Delhi, Dec 31: The P K Dahal aka Prachanda faction which is at logger heads with Nepal’s Prime Minister, K P Oli has said that the only way out of the crisis is for the decision on the dissolution of Parliament being reversed.

Former prime minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the only way the crisis would be resolved is if Oli accepts his mistake.

New Delhi, Dec 30: Even as China makes attempts to bring the warring factions in Nepal together, there are plans afloat to target Prime Minister K P Oli’s credentials in case he does not cave. 

So far, the team of the Chinese Communist Party has not been able to any headway, with Oli remaining firm on his decision on the dissolution of Parliament. While China has been criticised for interfering in Nepal’s internal affairs, the Chinese Communist Party has maintained that its team is in Kathmandu only to deepen relations between the political parties of the two countries.

Xi set to dispatch key team to prevent prevent in Nepal’s Communist Party

New Delhi, Dec 26: A high-level team of the Communist Party officials will travel to Kathmandu to stop the Nepal Communist Party from splitting. The move comes after Ambassador Hou Yanqi failed to stop the split in the NCP.

The team being sent by Chinese president, Xi Jinping is led by Guo Yechau, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The team will land on Sunday. The team will meet with key players in Nepal and will try to patch matters between the warring factions.

New Delhi, Dec 21: India has maintained the dissolution of the Parliament in Nepal is the country’s internal matter. Officials tell OneIndia that the issue is Nepal’s internal matter. However Delhi continues to keep a close watch on the developments.

We are watching the events unfold, but would not want to comment as yet, the official said. The move would anger China as its Ambassador in Kathmandu has been working hard to keep the Nepal Communist Party united.

Stay away from my party’s politics: Oli tells Chinese envoy

New Delhi, Nov 28: Nepal’s Prime Minister, K P Oli is understood to have told his supporters that he is ready for a split in the party. The statement comes in the wake of reports suggesting that China is trying to fix the problems within the Nepal Communist Party.

Oli is also understood to have told Chinese ambassador, Hou Yanqi that he is capable of handling the challenges within the party, without any assistance. Pushpa Kumar Dahal has been vocal in his opposition to Oli and this has driven a rift within the party. China has been trying to play the role of peacemaker in a bid to fix the rift.
