New Delhi, Aug 02: Assam and Mizoram have decided to dial down the border tensions following the intervention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Both the Chief Ministers agreed to resolve the ongoing border disputes amicably through dialogue.
Mizoram’s CM Zoramthanga took to the social media and said that the boundary dispute with Assam will be resolved amicably through dialogue.
New Delhi, Mar 22: Amidst the ongoing military crackdown, Mizoram Chief Minister, Zoramthanga held a virtual meeting with Foreign Minister of Myanmar. India has sealed all entry points along the border with Myanmar and is closely monitoring the situation to prevent a any Myanmar national from entering the country.
Zoramthanga took to Twitter and wrote, ‘had a fruitful meeting with Zin Mar Aung, Hon’ble Foreign Minister, Myanmar. Our thoughts and prayers are with Myanmar in these trying times.’
New Delhi, Dec 20:The surveys conducted in most states suggest that jobs are the biggest issue for the people. A survey conducted in the parliamentary constituencies of Mizoram suggested that employment continues to be main issue.
New Delhi, Dec 12: The number of candidates with a criminal background in Mizoram has jumped from none to 2. In the 2013 elections, none of the candidates had declared pending criminal cases against them.
Shauman Haq who was arrested by the Delhi police said that he was sent on a specific mission to recruit Rohingya Muslims. He told the police that he was targeting the Rohingyas in Delhi, Manipur and Mizoram.
