Kulbhushan Jadhav was captured by the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Khorasan and then sold to the ISI in Pakistan. This revelation was made Baloch activist, Mehrab Sarjov.
Pakistan has for the 18th time rejected India’s request for consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. The request was rejected on the ground that India was trying to deny the facts by calling Jadhav an ordinary prisoner.
The fresh confessional video of Kulbhushan Jadhav has been dismissed as farcical by India. In the 10.09 minute video released by Pakistan, the signs are clear that Jadhav is being prompted. The various pauses that he takes are also an indication that he is being coached. Experts says that in the video it is clear that he has been subject to torture. One can see the marks clearly on his face and these are signs of torture. He was clearly being forced to say things that Pakistan wanted to hear, experts also pointed out.
In the month of May there was a high level meeting at New Delhi held to decide on whether or not to move the International Court of Justice in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case. Almost everyone in the room argued that going to the ICJ would mean shooting ourselves on the foot. Past examples were cited to make out their case.
Pakistan has said that Kulbhushan Jadhav will not be executed until he exhausts all mercy pleas. Jadhav was sentenced to death in Pakistan on the charge that he was an Indian spy. India went up to the International Court of Justice which stayed the execution pending final hearing.
In a tight slap for the lies that Pakistan has been telling, Amjad Shoaib, an ex-ISI official has admitted that Kulbhushan Jadhav was captured from Iran. This negates Pakistan’s claims that Jadhav was caught in their own country on charges of spying.
It was just a procedural order and India cannot claim victory, Khawar Qureshi who represented Pakistan in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case said. The International Court of Justice only issued a procedural order while staying the execution of Jadhav, he also said.
On Saturday several media outlets reported how the UPA had appointed Khawar Qureshi, Pakistan’s ICJ lawyer in Kulbhushan Jadhav case to defend India in the Dabhol power project case. Qureshi’s arguments before the International Court of Justice was rejected and a stay on the execution as sought by India was granted.
According to former Pakistani military dictator, Kulbhushan Jadhav is a bigger terrorist than Ajmal Kasab. Musharraf told Pakistan’s ARY News that Kasab, one of ten Pakistanis who carried out the Mumbai terror attacks in which 164 people were killed, was “just a pawn”, while Jadhav, the Indian national Pakistan claims is a spy, “may have killed” people.
Pakistan is likely to get a new set of lawyers to fight the Kulbhushan Jadhav case at the International Court of Justice. Many in Pakistan are miffed with the legal team as they were unable to defend Pakistan’s case. The ICJ had on Thursday stayed the execution of Jadhav.
