UAE based accused facilitated Kerala Gold Smuggling through import cargo addressed to consulate diplomats

New Delhi, June 10: The National Investigation Agency which made a crucial arrest in connection with the Kerala Gold Smuggling case said that the accused had facilitated the smuggling through import cargo addressed to diplomats in UAE Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram. 

The NIA arrested fuugitive Muhammed Mansoor P D (37), a resident of Kozhikode, following his arrival at the Calicut International Airport from Dubai. The case on hand pertains to the seizure of 30 kilograms of gold worth Rs 14.82 crore on July 5 2020 at the Air Cargo of Trivandrum International

Kerala Gold Smuggling: NIA team will visit Dubai to quiz prime accused

Was the Kerala Gold Smuggling plot hatched in Sivasankar’s home: Customs raids to ascertain

sivsankarNew Delhi, July 16: Multiple raids have been carried out by the investigation agencies in connection with the Kerala Gold Smuggling case. Raids were carried out at the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited, which falls under the IT Department.

The raid lasted for more than an hour at the KSITL, where key accused Swapna Suresh used to work.

Kerala gold smuggling: IT sleuths question accused at NIA office

A team of the IT reached the office of the National Investigation Agency at Kochi, where the accused are lodged. They are currently in NIA custody, following an order of the court.
