New Delhi Mar 10: The verdict is out and Jyotiraditya Scindia has resigned from the Congress. Meanwhile 19 MLAs of the Madhya Pradesh Congress have sent their resignations by email to the Speaker of the House.
Scindia, according to sources was feeling sidelined and also found the leadership un-inspiring. His has expressed clearly his feelings in the letter. He says, “while my aim and purpose remains the same as it has always been from the very beginning. to serve the people of my state and country, I believe I am unable to do this anymore with this party.”
New Delhi, Mar 10: The Kamal Nath led Madhya Pradesh government is in crisis. 17 MLAs who are supporting Jyotiraditya Scindia were carted away to Bengaluru and this is a major development ahead of the crucial Rajya Sabha elections. After securing 114 seats, the Congress came to power in 2018.
The House has 230 members. However the current strength has been reduced to 228. The Congress had gone on to form the government with the support of 121 MLAs, which included four independents, 2 BSP and 1 SP MLA.
Bengaluru, Mar 10: The Congress government in Madhya Pradesh plunged into a political crisis on Monday after a sulking Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with at least 17 MLAs, virtually raised a banner of revolt prompting Chief Minister Kamal Nath to call a late-night cabinet meeting where around 20 ministers present resigned reposing their faith in his leadership.
New Delhi, May 16: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of INC from Chevella constituency has declared a maximum increase in assets with an increase of Rs 366.39 Crores i.e from Rs 528.62 Crores in 2014 to Rs. 895.01 Crores in 2019. Assets of D K Suresh of INC from Bangalore Rural constituency have risen by Rs 253.02 Crores, from Rs 85.87 Crores in 2014 to Rs 338.89 Crores in 2019 says a report prepared by the Association for Democratic Reforms.
New Delhi, May 14: The average assets of these 335 re-contesting MPs fielded by various parties including independents in 2014 was Rs 16.79 Crores. Assets of Jyotiraditya M. Scindia of INC from Guna constituency has increased by Rs 341.47 Crores, from Rs 33.08 Crores in 2014 to Rs 374.56 Crores in 2019.
The average asset of these 335 re-contesting MPs in 2019 is Rs 23.65 Crores.
