The Tablighi is currently in the news after over 2,000 tested positive for coronavirus from among the 4,000 who had gathered at the Markaz Nizamuddin in Delhi.

Why infiltrations in Bengal grew by 260 per cent

banglaNew Delhi, May 16: The violence in West Bengal has been unprecedented and the developments in the state over the past couple of years has been worrying.

Back in 1992-93, the Research and Analysis Wing undertook an operation in Bangladesh to immobilise targets of the Jamaat-e-Islami. The operation largely dealt with stopping the Jamaat from undertaking a major operation in which involved infiltrating Bangladeshis into India with a motive of creating a Greater East Pakistan.

A dinner in Pakistan that has Indian agencies worried

hafizsaeedNew Delhi, Jan 30: A dinner hosted by the Lashkar-e-Taiba in Islamabad has yet again reiterated the fact that Pakistan has done little to curb terror groups. The dinner was hosted for the leaders of the Muslim World League by the chief of the LeT, Hafiz Saeed.
The Muslim World League is an NGO based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia that propagates Islamic teachings specifically Wahhabism. The dinner was also attended by leaders of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Jamaat-e-Islami and Ansar ul Ummah. All these groups are on the ban list for propagating religious extremism.

Before ISIS, there was the Tablighi Jamaat which radicalised Indian youth

ter4New Delhi, July 28: The chargesheet that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed in connection with the ISIS Indian module points out the roles played by the Tablighi Jamaat and the Jamaat-e-Islami.
The ISIS may be a new phenomenon, but some members of the group today had taken a radical path several years ago thanks to sermons issued by the above mentioned groups.

Foreign funding traced to Bangladesh based radical groups

terrorist1A payment of 1.5 million pounds made by a Pakistani national into the bank account of the radical Shahid Hamza Brigade in Bangladesh is under the scrutiny of investigating agencies.
Bangladesh which has been battling with the problem of radical groups has found that there is considerable amount of foreign funding that has been reaching the accounts of the members of these groups.

Hizb ut-Tahrir: Should India be worried about the terror group?

While one would need to wait and watch how true that would turn out to be, the important aspect is that this group figures quite high on India’s list of dangerous outfits.

Jamaat, NFDB(S) plot killing of Bodo leaders

50 Bodo leaders are on the hitlist of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh according to an investigation report of the National Investigating Agency. The bombs were being prepared and transported to Assam from the Burdhwan terror factory.

With the NIA taking up the case pertaining to the killing of the advasis in Assam at the hands of the NFDB( S) this angle of the JMB becomes extremely interesting.
An officer with the NIA probing the case told oneindia that it appears to be a major plot on part of the JMB and the NFDB ( S) to intensify operations and cause instability in the region.
