The partition of India resulted in the severe persecution of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan.
As of 2010, Pakistan had the fifth largest Hindu population in the world. However there has been a historical decline in the population of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists in the areas of Pakistan. Post 1947, around 4.7 million Hindus and Sikhs moved to India. In the aftermath of the Babri Masjid demolition, the Hindus in Pakistan faced riots and mobs attacked the Hindu temples in Karachi and set fire to 25 temples in the provinces of Sindh. The shops of Hindus were attacked in Sukur and Hindu homes were attacked in Quetta. New Delhi, Nov 09: The Hindu worship at Ramchabutra, Sita Rasoi and at other religious places including the setting up of a Bhandar clearly indicated their open, exclusive and unimpeded possession of the outer courtyard, the Supreme Court held.
The Muslims have not been in possession of the outer courtyard. Despite the construction of the wall in 1858 by the British and the setting up of the Ramchabutra in close-proximity of the inner dome, Hindus continued to assert their right to pray inside the three-domed structure.
Jalalabad, July 4: It has become increasingly clear that the Jalalabad bombing which targeted Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan had the blessing of the ISI, Pakistan’s notorious spy agency. The aim was to directly target the Sikhs and ensure that they did not have a representation in the Afghanistan Parliament.

A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of Sikhs and Hindus who were on their way to meet with Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani. 17 out of 19 killed in the blast belonged to the Sikh and Hindu community.
