Embassy blast: Letter, half burnt pink scarf under Delhi Police’s radar

New Delhi, Jan 30: The Delhi Police is probing the letter that was found outside the blast site at the Israeli Embassy in Delhi. A pink scarf, which was half burnt has been recovered from the site and is also part of the probe, Delhi Police Commissioner, S N Shrivastava also said.

The letter contained a threat and describes the explosion as a trailer. The letter also refers to Qasem Soleimani, one of Iran’s most powerful generals who was assassinated in a drone strike by the United States in January last year.

Embassy blast: Delhi cops question cab driver who ferried suspects

New Delhi, Jan 30: The Delhi Police has observed two suspects getting off the cab moments before the minor blast outside the Israel Embassy in Delhi.

After observing the CCTV footage, the cops found that the two suspects were getting off a cab moments before the blast. The cab driver has been identified and is being questioned by the Delhi Police.

Will not let the culprits get away, India tells Israel after blast outside embassy

New Delhi, Jan 30: India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Israel NSA, Meir Ben-Shabbat and a discussion on the security situation in the aftermath of the blast outside the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi. 

Following the discussion, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu expressed full confidence that the Indian authorities would investigate the incident. India has assured Israel that it would take all steps to protect the embassy and its diplomats. India also said that it would track down the perpetrators.
