New Delhi, Jan 06: The Delhi assembly elections would be held on February 8 and counting will take place on February 11, the Election Commission of India has said.
Notification will be issued on January 14 and the last date of nomination is January 21. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on January 22 and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is January 24.
New Delhi, Apr 11: For the first time the Election Commission (EC) of India is using drones to monitor the elections. Voting in the first phase of the polls commenced today.
At least 13 drones are being used in the Gautam Buddh Nagar constituency and the same was introduced to monitor any unwanted activities on the ground. The drones have been deployed in the various districts that falls under this constituency.
New Delhi, Jan 6:The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in March. The ECI is in the process of collecting details of the dates of festivals and school examinations, following which it would finalise the schedule for the elections.
