New Delhi, Jan 13: There appears to be no end to the CBI mess. Two officers of the agency have planned on approaching the Supreme Court after their transfers were approved by interim Director, Nageshwar Rao.
New Delhi, Jan 11: Alok Verma was removed as CBI chief and transferred following a decision by the selection panel on Thursday. In a 2:1 verdict, the panel cited the report of the Central Vigilance Commission while ordering his exit.
New Delhi, Jan 9: With Alok Verma set to resume duties as the CBI director, the big question is what role would he perform. The Supreme Court while reinstating Verma had said that he cannot take any major policy decisions until the final stamp of approval is given by the Selection Committee comprising the Prime Minister, Leader of Opposition and Chief Justice of India.
New Delhi, Jan 8: For Alok Verma, there was a major reprieve from the Supreme Court. After being sent on leave by the Centre, he was ordered to be reinstated with immediate effect by the Supreme Court.

New Delhi, Dec 10: The Westminster Magistrate’s court has delivered its verdict and has said that Vijay Mallya will be extradited. While there is ample reason to rejoice, there are still a few more legal remedies available for Mallya, which could delay the extradition a bit.
New Delhi, Dec 10: Reacting to the judgement of a UK court that ordered the extradition of Vijay Mallya, a CBI official said that they were confident this would be the order. Ahead of the verdict, a joint team of Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate led by CBI joint director, Sai Manohar left for London. It may be recalled that it was the team that was led by Manohar which had played an active role in the extradition of AgustaWestland middleman, James Christian Michel as well.
New Delhi, Nov 17: The Central Bureau of Investigation which has been stung by an internal war found itself in the news once again. This time it was after both the Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal governments withdrew general consent for CBI probes in the respective states.
New Delhi, Nov 10: CBI director, Alok Verma who appeared before the Central Vigilance Commission denied all charges of corruption levelled against him. He gave a point wise refusal to all the charges levelled against him by special director, Rakesh Asthana, who incidentally had followed him to the office of the CVC, but could not get an audience, officials said.
New Delhi, Nov 9: CBI director in exile, Alok Verma has appeared before the Central Vigilance Commission today. He is deposing before the commission, which is probing allegations of bribery against him as per the directive of the Supreme Court.
