New Delhi, Jan 25: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in connection with the Ansar-al-Islam case.
It may be recalled that two suspected Bangladeshi nationals had been detained by the Border Security Force as they were unable to produce valid documents. The police then registered the case before handing it over to the NIA.
Raids conducted by police have uncovered a Bengaluru based trust and has also brought to light the method by ISIS of using charities as a front to fund terror related activities.Running a charity to cover up acts of terror has been rampant for some time now. During the nation-wide raids conducted in connection with an Islamic State case, one such charity cropped up.
The police found that this charity being run in Bengaluru was in reality a front to carry out terror related activities.
Bengaluru, Nov 05: Bengaluru will have a separate anti terrorist cell. This decision has been taken in the wake of a growing threat of terror.
The cell would work under the CCB and would be headed by an officer if the ACP rank and would be monitored by the Joint Commissioner of Police.
Bengaluru, Oct 26: The police have arrested 30 Bangladeshi nationals who were staying illegally in the city.
The police conducted raids early in the morning and arrested these persons. It was learnt that these persons were staying illegally without a visa. They will be booked under the Foreigners Act and later deported.

Najir Sheikh alias Patla Anas, a resident of Murshidabad in West Bengal was an active member of the JMB. He was taken to Bengaluru on a transit warrant and produced before the Special NIA court.
New Delhi, June 29: After a chase that lasted nearly five years, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), earlier this week arrested an accused in connection with the Burdwan blast from Doddaballapur near Bengaluru.
The arrested person was identified as Habibur Rehman, who is a close aide of Jahidul Islam arrested by the NIA last year from Ramanagara near Bengaluru. The sleuths of the NIA are currently questioning Rehman and during the interrogation it came to light that he had travelled to several places across the country.
New Delhi, June 26: In less than one year, the National Investigation Agency has picked up a terrorist of Bengal origin from Bengaluru, Karnataka.
On Tuesday, an absconding accused in the Burdwan blast case was arrested by the NIA from Doddaballapur near Bengaluru. In August 2018 the NIA had arrested one Mohammad Jahidul Islam alias Kausar from Ramnagara near Bengaluru in connection with the Bodhgaya blasts case.

New Delhi, Aug 7: The National Investigation Agency has arrested a terrorist wanted in several cases in India and Bangladesh from Bengaluru. Mohammad Jahidul Islam, aged 38 is also a wanted in the Bodhgaya blast case.
