New Delhi, Apr 02: A woman identified as Hasina Akhtar from Baramulla was arrested after she was caught on camera hurling a bomb at a CRPF camp while wearing a burqa.
The police learnt that she had come in contact with the pro-Pakistan Asiya Andrabi who is already in jail for her role in a terror funding case. Hasina was already under the scanner for posting posters of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in Handwara in 2021.
New Delhi, Apr 01: A woman in a burqa who was caught on camera hurling a bomb at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested.
She has been identified as Hasina Akhtar, a resident of Baramulla. She is associated with the banned group Dukhtaran-e-Milat which is headed by Asiya Andrabi.
The CCTV footage showed the woman stopping in the middle of the road and searching through the purse she was carrying. She then takes a bomb from her bag and hurls it at the CRPF camp. The bomb caused no loss or injuries, the police said.
New Delhi, Feb 23: A Special NIA court today framed charges against Kashmiri separatist, Asiya Andrabi for waging war against India, sedition and conspiracy to commit terror acts in the country.
In December, the court had ordered framing of charges against Andrabi and her two associates. The case relates to allegedly waging war against the country with support from Pakistan, including terror entities there.
New Delhi, July 13: They bring in money from Pakistan to fund terror in the Valley. They ensure that schools and colleges are shut for months together as a result of which the education of the children suffer.
However, when it comes to there own, they have other plans. Be it Asiya Andrabi or other top separatists, most of their children are abroad and are studying in good institutions.
New Delhi, June 17: Asiya Andrabi collected funds from foreign sources to stoke violence in Jammu and Kashmir. The NIA during its probe learnt that Andrabi’s Duktaran-e-Milat had been organising protests by muslim women in the valley.
Asiya Andrabi was confronted with evidence regarding funding of educational expenses of her son in Malaysia from 2011 onwards through foreign remittances made by Zahoor Watali.
New Delhi, Nov 15:The NIA Wednesday filed a charge sheet against pro-Pakistani separatist and Dukhtaran-e-Millat head Aasiya Andrabi and two of her associates for allegedly “waging war” against the country using Internet platforms, officials said.
