4 more down: Forces gun down 9 terrorists in 24 hours

Sources say that three soldiers have also been injured in the encounter. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Army says no build up of troops along Indo-China border

indiachinaNew Delhi, May 13: The Indian Army has said that there is no build up of troops in eastern Ladakh amidst tensions with the Chinese army.

Troops on either sides of the Line of Actual Control have been on high alert, a week after the Indian and Chinese troops came to blows in a disputed area near Pangong Two, a lake near eastern Ladakh. The troops continue to be on high alert although there has been disengagements after the incident took place on May 5.

To combat terror combined forces of Army, Navy, Air Force deployed in Valley

The decision was taken to combat terror in the Valley. This is for the first time that all the special forces under the Armed Forces’ Special Operations Division would be deployed in the Valley.

South India back on alert after Army picks up inputs of terror strike

Lt Gen S K Saini said that they had inputs that there may be a terror attack in the southern part of India. Some abandoned boats have been recovered from Sir Creek. We are taking measures to ensure that the designs of these elements and terrorists are stalled, news agency ANI quoted Lt Gen Saini, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Army, Southern Command as saying.

On the hit-list, Forces confident of gunning these ten terrorists in 6 months

New Delhi, June 06: The Union Home Ministry earlier this week released a hit list, which comprised the names of the top ten terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

The security forces are already undertaking massive operations in the Valley to find and kill these terrorists. Sources say that the deadline would be before the end of the year.

Kashmir: Mob of 500, 3 terrorists provoked Army with gun fire and petrol bombs

Srinagar, July 8: It was a bloody Saturday in the Valley. Three civilians including a 16 year old girl were killed after the Army opened fire on stone pelters in South Kashmir’s Redwani village. Governor N N Vohra told the Army to maintain standard operating procedure so that there were no civilian casualties.
