RSS approved my entry- Muthalik
My entry into the BJP had the approval of the RSS and also members of the state unit of the BJP. Rajnath Singh should have trusted the state unit and not taken a hasty decision based on what some people on the social media had to say. This is what a visibly upset and angry Pramod Muthalik has to say after the decision to take him into the BJP was reversed in the next five hours on Sunday.
I have to point out that there has been a lot of hypocrisy where the decision regarding me is concerned. Ask anyone and they will tell you what I have done for the BJP. I have gone to jail fought so many issues for the party and today they treat me this way, Pramod Muthalik says in this interaction with rediff.com.
Muthalik on his next plan:
I will continue to support Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister. My organisation the Shri Ram Sena will not contest the elections, but we will campaign for the BJP and I shall take a decision to this effect after consultations with my followers. A man like Modi is good for the country. I will wait for the Karnataka BJP to speak with their national leaders and convince them about me campaigning for the party.
An agnostic calls on the writers
In a state where religious sentiments and superstition is the order of the day, the new Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah kickstarted his tenure by meeting with writers. This probably is the first time that the state has witnessed such a thing considering the fact that all the other Chief Ministers were either at a temple or a mutt seeking the blessings of the religious leader or the almighty.
There is a logic behind the move by the Karnataka Chief Minister. He has met with writers who he has a lot of regard for. Each one of these writers were seen at his swearing in ceremony and Siddaramaiah had personally invited each one of them.
Will put state back in order- Siddaramaiah
The wait has finally paid off and Siddaramaiah is Karnatakaās Chief Minister. The 64 year old leader who started off his life by grazing cattle near Mysore has risen in the ranks to the highest post in the state.
He himself had said when he announced himself as the top contender for the post of Chief Minister that he has a plus point and a person who was grazing cattle has risen to this rank. Continue reading “Will put state back in order- Siddaramaiah”

Swearing-in on 13th
Siddarmaiah is likely to be sworn in on May 13th. The swearing in ceromony is likely to be held at the Kanteerva stadium. This is the first time that a swearing in ceremony is not being held at the Vidhan Soudha lawns.
The reason for shifting the venue is due to the ongoing metro work around Vidhan Soudha.
Behind the scene at KPCC office
It was quite an effort to convince the Congress leaders to remain united over the candidature of Siddarmaiah as Chief Minister. Sources in Congress tell rediff.com that Mallikarjuna Kharge another aspirant to the post would be given the railway portfolio at the centre.
G Parameshwar who was also opposing Siddarmaiah has been assured of a cabinet portfolio. The Congress has also decided to make a Lingayat leader as the Deputy Chief Minister. The name of the Deputy CM came up after some leaders from the Lingayat community demanded good representation in the wake of the community voting in large numbers for the Congress.
