China resorting to “coercive, assertive practices” says CIA

southseaThe US has said that China is increasingly resorting to “coercive, assertive practices” to achieve its goals in the Asia-Pacific region. The statement was made by Michael Collins, deputy assistant director at the Central Intelligence Agency’s East Asian Mission Centre. The remarks comes just a day after the Pentagon said that a US Navy surveillance aircraft was intercepted by two Chinese J-10 fighters in an “unsafe” manner over the disputed East China Sea.
